What is Ultimate?

Ultimate (often known "Ultimate Frisbee") is a non-contact team sport played with a flying disc. the main objective being to score points by catching the disc in the opposing team's end zone. Teams and Field: Ultimate is typically played with two teams of seven players on a rectangular field with two end zones.

The Singapore Flying Disc Association (SFDA) and the Singapore Ultimate community are committed to upholding the highest principles of SOTG, prioritizing respect, integrity, and fair play in every match. We are dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all players, fostering a culture of self-officiation, sportsmanship, and mutual respect both on and off the field.

Apart from Ultimate on the fields and on turf, Beach Ultimate takes place on land, and at the heart of Sentosa in Singapore.

The difference in terrain:
Compared to astro turf and grass, sand can often slow down players’ running speeds and reduce their ability to make quick cuts. Held at sandy areas along waterfronts, players are also subject to weather conditions such as sand in the wind, and the hotter weather coming both from the sun above and the sand below. However, it also gives way to spectacular diving catches ("layouts") that add to the excitement of the game.

Beach Ultimate follows similar rules to traditional ultimate but is adapted to the unique conditions of the beach:
